Realign the ACC to solve attendance problems…
The solution is simple for the ACC officials who are watching the ACC Championship Game go down the drain — REALIGN…
The conference needs to go with a North and South Division to help at least one team have a closer game every season…
Here is my solution:
North: Boston College, Maryland, UVA, VT, UNC and Wake Forest…
South: Duke, NC State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State and Miami…
Then officials could rotate the championship between Charlotte/DC one year and Tampa/Jacksonville the next year…
Thus giving at least one division champion a closer game and hopefully bring more fans to the game… I have a feeling tomorrow’s ACC Championship game is going to look a lot like the MAC Championship looks tonight — EMPTY.
ACC officials have got to do something, they need to get over the idea that FSU and MIA will be playing in the championship game every year and make it so other fans can logistically and economically attend the game…
That’s just my optimal solution… any others??
